Holy flower: Lotus

Lotus or Dok Bua in the Thai language is a holy flower because we always use this flower to worship the Buddha with 3 incense and 2 candles (normally yellow). Moreover, we still use the petals of the Lotus flower in many Thai dishes as well.

Normally we do not cook noodles at home because we need to prepare a lot of ingredients. That is why we love to find a delicious Noodle restaurant to eat when we are outside of our house for Lunch or Dinner and we can put seasoning as we like.


Bamboo: useful plant

Bamboo is the most useful plant in the world because we can use it for everything, from house to food.
Thai people also used bamboo for houses in the past, furniture, rope, containers, and many dishes eg; Khoa Lham (Roasted sticky rice with coconut milk and black bean in bamboo), bamboo shoot curry(Kang phed Nor Mai), bamboo shoot spicy salad (Sup Nor Mai), etc.,

Many herbs we always put in our dishes but some still can made a herbal tea for our wellness eg; Jujube, Roselle, Bael fruit, Lemongrass, Pandan leaf, Ginger, etc., Normally we drink it hot but if you need to put an ice cube or even add more honey and lemon to enjoy more, especially in the summertime in Thailand.

There was no internet and a lack of signal for mobile phones 25 years ago. So, our life was around nature, rice fields, orange farms, and local herb fields, and had everything in our house garden area. We woke up in the morning every day because of the sunlight and bird songs.
